We will show that for a wide class of autonomous and non-autonomous reaction-diffusion problems there exist two special "equilibria" bounding their asymptotic dynamics. As an application, we will consider the case of logistic equations. We will obtain conditions on the coefficients ensuring the existence of a unique positive equilibrium.
