Transforms of abelian varieties with multiplication

I'll discuss the content of paragraph 7.1 and 7.2 in Shimura's book. Of special interest are abelian varieties having multiplication by a finite dimensional Q-algebra R. I'll explain the construction of the I-transform of an abelian variety of type (R) where I is a lattice in R.
