Arrival

From the airport, a convenient and relatively inexpensive
way to reach your hotel or the conference room
is by taxi (about AU$ 20).
By train is not much cheaper (about AU$12); but if you arrive on Monday morning during rush hour and intend to go straight to the conference room, it might be faster: The conference room is about 15-20 minutes on foot from Redfern Station (there is no bus stand or taxi stand there).

The conference venue is the Stephen Roberts Theatre
(J19 on the
Campus Map)
at Eastern
Avenue on the main campus of the University of Sydney
("Camperdown Campus" on the
Overview Map), very close to
the City Road entrance.

- If you are staying in a Oakford City West Serviced Apartments, and you will be arriving outside reception hours (Mo-Fri: 7am - 8pm, Sa-Sun: 8am - 4pm), please contact the conference organisers to make an arrangement.

- Rydges Camperdown Hotel has 24 hours reception
- Women's College
- If you are staying in the Women's College, and you will be arriving there before 7.30am or after 10pm, please ring the duty manager from the airport on 9517 5007 as the reception is only open between these hours.
Climate

July is in the middle of winter in Sydney. Days will in general be
sunny but cool, with maximum temperatures between 12 and 17 degrees
Celsius; it might rain as well.
At night, it will get quite cold; expect around 7
degrees Celsius.
You will need a warm pullover, a jacket and maybe a raincoat or an umbrella. The sunlight can be very bright, so you might want to bring sunglasses as well.
