SUPPORT FOR YOUNG MATHEMATICIANS:

Partial support towards travel, accommodation and registration at the workshop is available for postgraduates (Masters and PhD level) and postdoctoral research associates (level A). The level of support will depend to some extent upon demand, but an initial estimate should cover expenses up to $500 per successful applicant. Priority will be given to applicants within Australia, but overseas participants may also apply.
Please email to one of the addresses below:
Dr. Alex Isaev ( Alexander.Isaev@maths.anu.edu.au)
or Dr. Laurentiu Paunescu ( laurent@maths.usyd.edu.au).
Please include your name and contact details, university affiliation and position. In the case of Masters and PhD students we ask the applicant to solicit a short note or message from the supervisor simply stating that in her/his view participation in the workshop would (broadly speaking) be of benefit to the student.

This event is sponsored by the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI). AMS allocates a travel allowance annually to each of its member universities (for list of members, see the list of member intitutions and the funding rules). Students or early career researchers from AMSI member universities without access to a suitable research grant or other source of funding may apply to the Head of Mathematical Sciences for subsidy of travel and accommodation out of the departmental travel allowance.
