Number Theory Seminar
The number theory seminar is a forum for talks in various aspects
of number theory, arithmetic geometry, cryptography. This semester
(1, 2006), seminars and lectures will take place in Carslaw 375
on Thursdays between 4-6PM, unless otherwise indicated.

John Voight will give a serie of lectures on "Shimura Curves"
[Lectures notes in pdf].
This lecture series will follow the book "Abelian varieties with complex
multiplication and modular functions" of Goro Shimura. Lectures will be
by and for postgrads, postdocs, and other interested researchers.
The Number Theory Seminar may be preceded or followed by a
Beach BBQ Seminar at Clovelly.
